Meet Anna-Maria Hawke

The quintessentially English tradition of Afternoon Tea was in fact started by the Duchess of Bedford, Anna-Maria in 1840.

Anna-Maria always loved baking alongside her mum as a little girl. She also had a creative, artistic side which led her into teaching Art and collecting beautiful vintage china and treasures that she filled her home with. Today, lover of all things vintage, Anna-Maria combines her love of and collection of beautiful vintage china with amazing cakes, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam alongside the whole afternoon tea experience which is now Very Vintage Tea Party.

She has built a trusted team of hand-picked and trained bakers & event hosts and has been baking, creating and hosting fabulous events ever since. Starting from her own home kitchen a decade ago, Anna-Maria has grown Very Vintage Tea Party into one of the leading event catering companies in the South East.
